Pity we don't have GP soundchecks anymore.

4x Scoop manufacturer sound clash would answer many claims/questions.

Been there, done it, got the badge.

Myself, Tony, Ligwa did it.

You only need 1 scoop test. From one you find the best. And 4 x can only sound better.

Less space less time. This is to find out who has the best now, not the best way back when. You might need another t-shirt Ray

Long talking days are over Mykey.

People want to hear boxes play in a gig, not hearsay, or sims.

Your old Wattcos were good.

If you have something better, tell us where we can hear 4x of them playing Roots Reggae.

"what is the pa mixer facing forward in the rack on a few for, guessing so owner can see if levels are ok from a distance if it's wired a certain way ?"

My best guess would be that the front-facing mixing board is meant to be a sub-mix for vocal mics, controllable from the front to allow multiple deejays to mix their mics, but with the master vocal volume controlled form the main sound mixer?

LOLFunny cos its trueConfusedBig smile

Big sound system means that you need a big space to play it which means many sounds are out only couple of times a year.

I have a monthly session with my lil machine which is more than any sound in Finland at the moment... I actually can play my sound quite a lot which is nice!Thumbs Up

edit. Ivah Sound does a lot of work too and so does everyone else. Just harder to find spots for a big sound, fact!

WOW! Thats material for the scoop porn thread. Waldorf double 15" scoops? Single 18" berthas?

RLA sticker on the rack, is this an older system? What's the context? refurbish? Salvaged club install?

Would be worthy of it's own thread in the show off your soundsystem forum!

Looks like DJ Punch acquired Richard Long's original Club Zanzibar system install, perhaps along with some of the gear.

I'd really like to know more about that 4 x 15" scoop design (minus the disco mirror touch, haha). Huge horn mouth for a cabinet like that; scoop porn for sure!
