An FFA 6004 amp is rated 6000w, yet only has a 20a Powercon, so could only get 4800watts?
How are u supposed to get its max usage out?

Read a little on reservoir capacitors (capacitors as reservoirs) for starters. Amps are a big topic though.

AC watts does not equal Audio watts, audio is much more dynamic than the sine wave that comes out of the wall so part of what an amplifier does is store some of that energy to be used to reproduce peaks. And regardless what a spec sheet may suggest those amplifiers will not deliver those rated output figures indefinitely, look further into the specs to see what method was used and what the test signal was, chances are you will find it was a noise signal with a defined crest factor and was time limited.

spec sheet says it's 1kHz sinewave. probably for 10ms.

Actually FFA are one of the few that can deliver sustained power and pretty much meet the manufacturers spec. Not sure about the four channels but take a look at the amp meet 3 results for the FFA 10000.

It's just bits of paper flapping about in a box.
