    Posted: 13 February 2017 at 3:27pm
I recently got a proline 3000 to run my 4 cubo 15's and wondering how careful I need to be. Of course will avoid clipping as best as possible but is there a risk of over powering the drivers with the bench tested 1850w @ 4ohms? The kappas are 600w rms 1200w  peak although I am naturally dubious about how useful wattage rating are.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

knowing that a proline can get a pair of 1850s basket's front rim hot to the touch, I would reckon it can pretty much sodomize four Kappa 15lfs  if not careful. but provided with a safety margin & not pure 30 Hz sine wave signal why not. At least you won't run out of headroom

Currently thinking to set limiter on the ultradrive to -22db then roll back -6db on the sub output. 40-90hz

You MUST run an XLR attenuator on the Ultradrive output channel for the proline, even the harshest limiter setting possible (-22db) on it will clip the tits off the Proline

I assume these are just a more solid equivalent to turning the gain on the output down? Extends limiter range to -32db?

Thanks for the reply. Was concerned id missed something
