1. Standard speakon tabs are 4.8mm and yes, the 6.3mm crimps do get too close. Heatshrink is an option, but I have just bought some 6.3mm tabbed speakon connectors on JonnyPyro's recommendation. The crimps are no longer dangerously close. I would still heatshink everything just incase though.
2. Technically true I guess, cut off a couple of centimeters from your speaker cable to balance it out ![]() |
