Just out of interest: What caused the problems?
I have some CB-series amps sitting on the bench for repairs and would really like to know if the problems they have are there in the BUX as well.

Morn,in most cases i find that the 90V relay on the output relay PCB  burn out due to 2r operation. appears it 'chatters" with fluctuating (low) voltages.

Interesting. No problems with the relays here.
I found all of the CB1402 and 1902 have some transistors dead.
All of them have fan control blown completely (Q23 in CB, Q25 in BUX) which killed the +15V rail and R40 (CB) / R29 (BUX) is gone.
My best guess: Fan blocked, fan control gone, 15V supply shorted and due to that protection circuitry not working anymore...

OK. Never had those issues. This was with just 1 unit?
Don't get me wrong, I have had module damage where power xsistors go too, but that's a new one on me...

No, this happened to 5 units that had been used in an installation. My best guess for the cause would be fans stuck in dirt and dust.
No. 6 already has fan running at full speed all the time (fan control gone) but that was from a different batch and was only used for 2x TRS115 in rock'n'roll...

They have already been fixed except for two.
We bought them used form installation for cheap money some years ago but never really needed them. They will find some use in monitor applications in the future but not for installation. Will not see any 2 Ohm loads as well (simply don't trust that design too much).
