Dual 'something; with forced rear cooling using fans. It is heavy bass but doesn't really go super low. Fair play to Jon and co though, doing brilliantly

I've heard RC1 on couple of occasions.
IMHO, loud yes, bass heavy, for 50hz+ maybe. Sub not as smooth, or "round", as some systems I've heard, with half as many amps/drivers. |

Just sounded like noisey 60hz + when i heard them. And after a few steps back nothing going on. In the middle of golden palace and bk was nothing at all. That was with 6 of their boxes on sub. Very dissapointing. But just reinforces on jobs to take out much much more and have multiple stacks everywhere and rooms should be covered.

When I played 4x 18" Scoops on 1x CA18, on proper 3PH power, was a whole different type of sub. |

Doesn't really matter if it is three phase or not, in the street there is mostly 3 phase and you get all 3 phases or 1 of them and a Neutral on the inside. Power is always proper if the voltage is constant and there is enough current supplied. Way too many BS about 'stiff power supplies mate' going on here from my point of view.

If you couple 10 boxes etc then the low extension may change. But on 2 occasions with 6 wasnt saying anything. BUT everyone has a different opinion on what is low, what is pressure. Some people just stand along the wall or right infront of the stacks all night

The RC1 certainly drop a lot lower now than they did a couple of years back. When I first designed them in the late nineties the dance music we were playing at the time didn't really need much below the mid forties hertz response wise, so the RC1 was first designed with that in mind. Music has come forward a lot since then and I've done a lot of redesigning and rebuilding over the past couple of years to improve the sub response without sacrificing the overall performance. The boxes now perform very strongly down to around 30hz. May not be "super low", but they're not dedicated infras or subs - they are general purpose bass boxes and they certainly seem to hit all the lowest notes the artists play through them now which is all we need them to do.
