Got lucky today . Went to pick up 4 top cabinets ( for free ) from someone was going to scrap them . They are loaded with Eminence 12" , 2x 6.5" and a Fane HF250 bullit . At the back there is space for 2 square connector dishes . Each cabinet also has a Beyma F-230 passive 2way X over ( x-point 4,5Khz ) .
What I really would like is to use them both in an active and/or passive way . I can't seem to figure out how to wire them , my mind has gone blank at the moment .
Picture below , don't mind the 6" mid speakers , they are car speakers . Will be replaced .
Suggestions are welcome .

Do you want them 3-way active/passive? The simplest would be 2-way active (xover around 200Hz) with the passive x-over left in between the 6" & tweeters.

My idea was to use the 12" for low/mid , the 6" for mid and the bullit for high and put some bass cab's under them . I have active X-overs ( 4x DDA DD500 ) and amp's , so that's no problem .
Only thing is that the beyma f-230 passive x-over is designed for 8 ohm components and if I put in 2 x 6" mid it will be eighter 4 ohm or 16 ohm .
So should I look for mid speakers that are 4 ohm or can I put a (or some ) resistors between the mid speakers and the passive x-over ?
I'm not that familiar with electronics .

Yes, a difficult one. Can´t find any information about the DDA DD500. What is it exactly? Also, you´ll only need one (stereo) active xover. If the active xover has an upper band of 500Hz - 1200Hz, you could use the Beyma filter as a high pass only, ie connect the 2 x 6" as you wish - I´d use them in series, 16 ohm will sound better, then put the passive xover in parallel with them, just using the high out to the tweeter.

EDIT: Didn´t you say that the 6" were car speakers? Then they should be 4 ohm? Confused In any case, you´re going to need something between them and the 12".

The DD500 is a 2 way stereo or 4 way mono active x-over from DDA . They were known for their mixingconsoles ( now Midas ) . It's an older x-over , I think from the late '80's or early '90's . But works fine .

Another option might be to use the cabinets fully active . Will have to do some tests Iguess .
