Selenium? Gotta say, sure a lot of double 12" horn loaded mids look alike, but these were designed pretty much from scratch mike.

Best regards, Teun.

Designed is a loose term no? just bits of wood panel from where I am sitting. definitely not my cup of tea. the only saving grace is at least they not pressure loaded but I could not have the Throat anomalies these will have. but nice try all the same

For once you have my attention. Now please elaborate instead of throwing words and making everybody's efforts seem worthless. Sure designed is a loose term, everything is a compromise when you don't have the capabilities of CNC milling a nice smooth. I am familiar with horn theory, and to be honest i think i have taken the maximum out of the goals i set myself when ''designing'' this cab. As far as ''throat anomalies'' go, they are really not that bad at all. Measurements i did indicate a few things; Smooth frequency response within the intended passband without visible reflections from the back of the cabinet. Smooth phase response without anomalies. Continuous THD curves with low levels of 3rd harmonics. No anomalies in the impedance curves.
For the (limited) physical size of the cab, there will never be complete directional control in the passband (roughly 170-800Hz), but it lines up properly with the Jabo horn above it.
At the end of the day i have a double 12'' horn loaded mid with a 2'' compression driver above it. With correct processing in place, it gives me: an almost perfectly flat frequency response from 170Hz to 20kHz. a phase linear phase response in this passband an impedance load which is well behaved without visible unintended resonances or reflections a high maximum SPL with well behaved THD.
So please do tell me, how you are capable of judging a ''design'' based on a single image by sitting in front of a keyboard. Especially when you yourself, have never ever shared anything with the community .
Please do elaborate. Edit: or go have your cup of tea somewhere else.

+1 Both good in their own way. But not used together Like putting Durrace components on a KTM

What you need to do with a little help from us The bottom cabinet. I would suggest using all the cavity space as possible and port the rear. Load it with some high end TC drivers. Job done
