A thing what I did in Berlin on Thursday. I don't only do PA! .. cheap tequilas might have contributed to missing my flight home.

Rig belongs to the Bug, second ever outing, this time with slightly more than the four hours we had to make it work after ten years in storage last year at the Berghain. Retuned with SMAART and of course because it's a scoop rig, mostly the ears. It's not 'right' but she didn't half make some noise for an old girl. Even running some scoops on an X4 I dragged in my luggage.

Hopefully the first of many.

Incubus in dub style split stacks last night in Bristol Trinity Centre for Deep Medi. Teachings in Dub tonight on the same setup.

Boosted 45hz and 63hz and the artists said it sounded way more like scoops.. ha!

I used to use a pair of Fane loaded flared mids like those with a pair of Cerwin Vega 2" above and a pair of Fane 1" above those, I couldn't believe how much spl this particular setup could produce with such little input power, proper oldschool loudness!

Seems a little interest in the older, lower powered Fanes etc?  Good stuff IMO.  D&B have kept the faith with lower power, higher efficiency in the modern world and it works.
Super lovely to see that rig Heart

Toasty, could you give an advance warning when you are in Bristol next with your Incubus please?
I would dearly love to hear it

Thanks

Sure, I agree, stereo is a can of worms. But the question is, how do you then go about playing back stereo material in mono?

I mean..... I don't mind a mono stack, but this...... it's like what, 6- 8 meters wide?

six horn tops (dispersion??), all in the middle next to each other, not even splayed? comb filter very much? Confused

horses for courses I suppose.... Embarrassed
