Looking good.
A piece of friendly advise; if you can, upgrade too an as large flare as you can fit in there. The bigger the horn, the better the directivity will be controlled towards the lower end of the spectrum. On the baffle there is plenty of room for a bigger one, so why not use it? Also a bigger horn will load the compression driver better down low, making it easier to use a lower crossover frequency. |

Best regards,
Teun. |

good work indeed. another note on the horn flare.. the top of the box protrudes quite far, so check that the angle of your horn won't "hit" the top of the box. i've long thought it might be worth building the mount for the flare at a 10 degree angle or so.

I'll keep that in mind when I decide/can afford to upgrade the horn driver and shoot for the bms4590 to really make these shine. Also cravings I think I'll be fine as they are only 60x40 lenses.

It won't make any difference to the output with just two of them if that makes you feel any better.

Nice! What are the crossover points and speaker sizes?. Any simulated charts for mid? What are those hf horns? Hope it sounds nice.

Finished building my speakers last week, i still have grilles to fix. First speakers Ive built, and everything works as should now.
2 x Fane Colossus 18 XB, 2 x Fane Sovereign 12-300 & 2 x BMS 4554 1.4" compression drivers. I am using Crown XLS 5000 for the subs, t-amp tsa 4700 for mids & highs and behringer ultradrive pro dcx2496 & soundcraft epm-6. |
