I'm looking to get a jellyfish and am trying to work out how to power it over the ethernet cable as you cant buy the bss power supply any more, i guess its just power over ethernet but at 24vdc. i could use these http://www.lindy.co.uk/power-over-ethernet-kit/34020.html but i would prefer a hardwired solution.
Does anybody know what pins the jellyfish receives power on the ethernet port? i've found the PoE standard pinouts but the jellyfish might be wired differently and i wouldn't want to pop it!. Jake

The terminals for +ve and GND are marked on / next to the terminal block on the Jelly itself, so you're all good as long as placing the power supply close to the jelly isn't an issue you can go straight in.

Prob would use a POE injecter as soundweb 90xx don't use "ethernet" as such, they use Cat-5 in an ethernet stylee...
AFAIA it is only 100mb so you could use the blu and brown pairs to drive power but I would make very sure they are isolated from the rj45 at both ends...

cheers i'll use an injector, the idea is to use the soundweb as a lms for my turbo system and have the jellyfish as a wired remote control to control all functions, will take a lot of programming but means i can stand in front of the rig with a length of cat5 and the jellyfish in a project box.
