Try opening the back of the cab up to see what make drivers are used and there could be some clues as to who made it.

Tbh ive never seen one before so i couldn't say just from the picture.

Can't judge the size of the cab but looks like a copy of the Altec 817.

Il get another picture tonight and upload it, its a powered cabinet, has +1 +2 +3 and -1 -2 and -3 hi and mid switches on the rear just by where the plug and cable come out of the back of it, like i said i think its a yamaha and my friend says its quite old,it did have something written on the back of it but its been painted over and i dont have access to it right this second to see what it says, cheers for the input though, il grab some more snaps soon.

HF horns look like old Alec, but I don't think Altec, or even any major manufacturer, would have put two HF horns, and rings, side by side in the one cabinet like that.  My guess is a backyard job...

Pictures on my squatjuice post above.

i purchased the second top so we have the pair but mine broken, the circuit the powerswitch it attatched to has snapped inhalf. still need a speaker id so i can try and find the parts i need to fix it, that and im really interested to know which model of yamaha it is as ive searched and searched and found nothing.

check the pics on my link and any advice or solutions would be amazing, thank yee :)

yamaha did make such things, these are in my vintage collection from the late 70's

After seeing these photos, obviously Yamaha, though I am surprised that Yamaha would have put two horns together like that.  I'm sure I have seen that power amp module used in something else, but it has been so long I cannot remember what, but would be mid to late '70s.

Photo of broken board not clear enough to make anything out, but in any case it would be a repair / patch up job, as you would not be able to get any genuine parts for them.  Any decent old-school tech should be able to get it going for you - fairly basic circuitry.
