Hello all! I have 4 pcs pd.2150 sitting on the shelf shaking nothing...

So I think a miniscoop for a 21" driver is a good choice to get the lowest note without getting even bigger than a regular full scoop.
Upscaling is extremely simple: multiply by 21/18 & use 21mm ply instead of 18mm

So question is:
-Which is the best (LOL)
-Did anyone try a 21" version? (pergaps even with the weightless 2150:-)
-Which of the following design that plans are available for would you prefer:

-ms-18 mkIII (I'm not fond of the wasted space behind driver, but it's only little)
-Heathrow b line mini
-Hugo mini scoop
-Mykey mini
-MS-46

Plans for all except ms-46 here:
http://blog-oong.blogspot.dk/2015/10/sub-woofer-scoop.html
ms-46 is on fsp.

Any hornresp inputs available for any of the above cabs?
I guess that a mini that does well with 18" will also do well with 21"
Kick will kick in at 60-70hz:-)

Yeah, that's the question, sold my 21"s, got a bunch of other cabs instead now, invaders tsw 721s, mach ms118s (1850 cabs)
Building from scratch takes time, finding someone that can actually program cnc takes even longer! I found 3 persons so far the last few years, claiming to be able to do it, nothing happened yet, probably I'm better of trying southwest cnc or starting the tablesaw:-)

If you have the drawings of the cab programming a cnc is easy peasy.
Especially if you have the dxf file or something like that it only takes ten minutes and the router can start to do its thing. Nulling the cnc every time with tool changes and loading the material is the time consuming part.
Best regards,
Teun.

NBX-1601 is called "for horn application", higher BL & EBP, a bit lighter cone also.
But I'd still do a sim and compare to a driver that people like in there:-)

I could draw up plan for 21" Mini Scoop, but it wouldn't be for free.. Or for sale.

I'd be more likely, to draw up plan, get it built, let prospective buyers hear cab playing, order some.

yes but you know what sims say... i thought to ask real people using drivers with similar specs about thier opinion. i expect answers like yes my turbomax with close to oberton specs sounds awesome you should go for oberton... i don't trust the sims too much. btw it looks good and i already have the driver. just looking for confirmation somehow. ;)

I have vey good experiences with hornresp & real life I must say, with exception from a rcf loaded tapped horn, there seems to be some standing waves and the vents on the back of the magnet are doing noise, no reason for blaming hornresp for not taking this into acount.

If you have it already see if you can find a similar cab for a test.
Otherwise I'd recommend the 1601 driver as it is designed for horn more than 1600

Yeah they always seem to be standing back. I wave on occasion, but they always seem to have a rear vent that brings something back.
