is there a simple design to switch between using a passive crossover, and then bypassing the crossover. i can use 2 core and 4 core cable accordingly. does anyone have a wiring diagram? thanks

to expand on that lovely diagram, you need a 4pdt switch to do it (4 pole double throw). search for that and there are a good few other threads on this.

The bits marked S1A - S1D are switches. What are the cabinets you are going to modify? You need to make sure that the switch you buy can handle the current.

thanks Earplug, they are Ohm BR15's. can you recommend a switch type and place to buy? another option i am considering is having additional nl4 inputs wired straight to the drives for bi-amp mode, would this confict with the passive crossover. i will be giving each cab 750w from a qsc powerlight 2.0hv. using them with passive crossover for stage monitors and bi-amped when using FOH. cheers

Ok, you going to need something quite big then. Like this:
http://eu.mouser.com/ProductDetail/NKK-Switches/S42/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMuVJC7Vq%252bMl51%2f7Z0iC14H5 Extra NL4´s will still need a switch. |

From the add:
"Max Contact Current AC:2A" I´d say you need at least 6A current rating for your cabs, so yes, you could wire 3 of those in parallel... |
