PKN are def high-end money, but with no dis-respect to this forum, until they have toured the world with a PA company they will be bedroom mixer kit to me....

Well, that is clearly an understatement. What you mean by touring the world?
You should know by now that most of the big tour companies dont buy gear only for how it sound, but they buy at a business tool. So if Powersoft is the flavor of the day, they buy Powersoft. Its as simple as that. That is a business decision. if the demand rise for iNukes, they will tour with iNukes. PKN is a very young company. So give it time. As far as the sound quality, i am yet to hear better sounding amps on the mid/high duty. On subs, not so much. But i have not tested the new XE-U series yet. And those limiters. Man they are from out of this world. Set and forget. And you will never hear them when they work. Pure magic.

Autodelta's Alfa 147 was faster around the top gear track than an evo.

two racks of PKN amps, would not have it any other way
iNuke, iPuke, you get what you pay for Autodelta's Alfa 147 faster round the top gear track for one lap, next morning found as a rusted hulk in the car park Mitsubishi Evo, well enough said, rally champions galore, and still they go on

Was quite enjoying the "RCF/Lab copy China OEM amp thread hijack", then someone mentioned cars.

So yes the 4 pot piece of crap with a hair rammed in the exhaust, hardly a benchmark for fast! Anyone know the 0-350KPH speed for a FWD car?

Sorry I forget metaphor can be risky here... My comment about does any Pro PA company (like proper touring, not single Artic stuff) carry PKN?

Theres not many stories about inukes exploding on the net. They seem reliable and you cant beat the price.
I wonder how many sound systems have started because there IS cheap amps and gear available. I get that if you pay 3300 for an amp it better be good. But makes no sense for behringer to build stuff that breaks either. Its over for the firm quicker than you know. Behringer have a 3year warranty too so if your inuke breaks you get a new one,but as said not a lot of reports on that on the net, they seem to be reliable. I think its just snobby and annoying to show off with your 3300€ amps and shits. Who cares how much it costs. Most people in the world get that amount of money in one year so buying an amp with that money is a nono. Poor people are blessed to have stuff like inukes. Think of all the good things you could do for people with 3000€. Pay their school, clean water,toilets,food...Everything is relative. So give thanks for cheap amps too and eff all snobby ish and posing with stuff! edit. And about gear breaking up in the middle of a madonna or kanye west gig it would be a blessing Its too much about money and not enough about the music! Edited by app - 09 September 2015 at 1:32pm |
