I just came across this plan: http://boyzpc.home.xs4all.nl/Bouwtekeningen/Overig/CW218%20sub.pdf

107,5dB sensitivity..!

Is it just me or does that sound a little bit like whish thinking?

It says -3dB at crossover, even still seems a little high.  At what frequency is the sensitivity measured though?

That is my thought too..
They dont say where it is that sensitive.
My Cubo215 has a sensitivity of 107dB at 120hz, but i do cut them off at 112hz. So that doesnt meen anything to me :)

Given the dimensions I'd estimate that sensitivity to be at 150Hz or higher. It's also evident that the sensitivity boost does not come from the V shape which will not give any boost at the rated frequency range but from misaligning the two cabs with different Q values. Don't try this at home kids. It will sound horrible.

yep,  far too good to be true.

To me, this isn't a horn but essentially just a reflex with the drivers mounted backwards so they face into their ported chambers?  You may get a db or two from the v loading of the two drivers but certainly nothing that will be even close to 107db  in their pass range, its no where near the length of any sort of proper horn.

Maybe running 2.83 Volts into a parallel pair of four Ohm drivers... at 1 kHz?
