I believe that CLD recently stopped distributing Volt.

Well it seems ended up with egg on my face, not for the first time either.
May keep a chameleon for myself and donate the other two to another rig if they are willing to risk it.
So volt still make drivers? can anyone pm me an address or even better a phone number?
Still, would asking £1000 for the two stacks seem reasonable.
Value up the parts and it comes to about that

No... IT IS the SSL (Paul Martyn) rig.  How many times...??

Paul used to endorse Chameleons untill they moved to Lab. Gruppen - and Crest was somewhere in between. I know this rig because, as a 14-year-old, I did a few jobs with Jon (RC1 Sound) when he had M2.

For what it's worth it was a great system that made me giggle like... a teenager!

Someone on here said they though the stacks ive got are Hill but finally found a single pic of the Malcolm Hill M2 system and i think its more likely the SSL rig that was mentioned...
Still... i may be a bit excitable at times but my ears dot lie and i love these boxes.
Once again, someone using volt and rcf knows what they are doing.

It was me James who said the system you have Could be a Malcolm Hill system as most of his cabs have an 'M' before the model numbers. It seems 'Hill' did do an M2 system but probably not the same as the rig you have.
The system you have was probably built by SSL and just by chance is powered by Chameleon (Malcolm Hill) amplifiers.
The Chameleon amps are pretty much worthless as they are badly designed but yes do sound good when they work.
Cheers, Chris.

yeah i bought some of surreys old volt drivers a few years ago .. wasnt impressed with the r3823 .. Tony Wilkes designed me a lovely cab for them , but as soon as you played any type of dance track through them, they struggled ... the 18" big brother is something else though RV4504 iirc.. awsome sounding driver
James, bin those amps before they go DC and take your drivers out too and leave you with a rather nice looking bonfire LOL

Surrey Sound & Light in Sutton.

I don't think they've made boxes like that in years, but if you chuck enough money his way I'm sure anything's possible!
