As I said already, I'm in the process of building a version of the punisher and X-TRO

My X-tro will be built using the folowing components:

P-audio WN-15S - midbass
B&C 8PE21 - mid
Selenium D3300Ti DPD
Selenium HL-14-50 Horn

I will build 2 units

My Punishers will be built using:

P-audio SD-12 woofer

I will build 4 units

today I fired up the drivers coupled to the horns, and I really think the  X-tro will rip my head off

the Frequency plot looks like this for the drivers coupled to the horns (actual measurement @ 7.5W):

for a 2" driver, it really can't get better than this

I'll post pics every time I make something new

Do you need a 2" which will go below 1kHz if you're using an 8" mid?  Thought the idea of the X-tro 8" was to get high enough to be able to use a 1" on top?

I will use this system mainly for outdoor gigs, so I think a 2" is a good choice (I have a bad habbit of blowing HF drivers)

anyway , I had the d3300 lying around so I thought why not

I want to cross them @ 2Khz so I'll have some really nasty unbreakable HF

Fair enough. Let us know how it sounds of course!

I'm having compression driver crossover issues at the moment.  I really love the sound of the DE25/DE250 drivers I have but finding something to go below a 1" which will play high enough cleanly seems to be difficult.  It's really spoiling what would be otherwise lovely sounding boxes to have some annoying dips at 1kHz and 3kHz.

On a completely different note I've been eyeing up the PD 12SB30 as a driver for the punisher or similar.  How far off are you with the SD12 loaded versions?

Can you post the input data for that please?  Link to the punisher plans seems to be broken atm so I can't find out the dimensions.

PD only has 400WRMS handling but I'd imagine can take a fair bit more in a horn.

@coner: It's the actual link to the schematic jpeg that seems to be broken, I can find the punisher page.

@Nexus3: Thanks for that.  I'm wondering whether I can modify the design into a reverse mounted driver BP-horn.  Will keep playing......

This is just a rough idea that i have had. It should make the cab more arrayable.  I dont think it will affect the sound but will make some awkward angles to cut. What do you think
