oh sorry, i wrote the wrong driver. stupid me. Off course he modified the plug to fit a 10" driver in the original horn, and still gettin up to 3.7 khz. I mailed him and ask how he did it but got a pretty fuzzy result about just shaping the back of the plug exactly as the dustcap. He has put up an measurement on his website wich actually looks really good. Have a 6 tms-2s in pretty awful condition, i am thinking of doing this myself and build new trap cabs.

I know the man himself is a regular here on the forums, maybe he can shed som light on this? :)

Thanks for the suggestion.

What would i want to stick that in there for?
Guess I would lose quite a bit high freq responce!?
It's no problem for me to do a perfect (better than turbosound) copy of the phaseplug.
But that itself is useless!
I get the rcf's cheaper than we do here in northern europe, italy & france has cheap prices:-)

My point is that the phaseplug has to fit the cone:

the rcf plug fits the rcf cone.
the tms plug fits the horn.

Still you're helping me, because if he has no problems with a 12" in there then I think I will have no problems woth the altered loading area in the rcf-plug.

Probably I just have to mould the front of the tms-plug onto the rcf-plug, but testing & calculating is needed.

I better ask Martinsson like you suggest.

Ah cool :) learning is always a good reason. Just a tip tough, the guy who desgined the THAM has also modified the phaseplug in the torbomid to fit a modern (b & c 12pe32 Iirc) driver. Could be worth checking out if the plug you have is a decent copy!

Regarding the 10" horn, do you still have the horn w phaseplug? Or what is the reason loading it with rcf?

Hi everybody, I've tried to model the tms-2 horn, based on daves model for the hd15

I have one big question about hornresp:

Where do I enter driver sensitivity?

the rcf mb15n401 has 100db sensitivity & the lf15n401 has 97, but they model the SAME in hornresp.
Appart from different sensitivity the also have different BL & so on.

I will upload my input screen with plots here soon, just that they're on a different pc now.

My plan is to load the tms-2 with

mb15n401
MR10N301 10" with phaseplug
bms 4538 / 4540 extended range 1" (to 30khz they say)

Regarding the 10" I don't know if the phaseplug is really long enough to fit in the horn part. First i have to listen, I think of moulding a copy of the outer part of the tms-2 plug onto the rcf plug to make it fit in the horn
