What's the compromise there?

As bee mention, it goes on the expense of soundpresure, but the gain is a frequency response close to the L-acoustics KS28 and Meyer Sound LFC1100 subwoofer. It makes the sound experience way better and bigger than a typical PA sub

very good spot, yes 2 floods per stack, we also had 6 21" reflex arrayed under the catwalk, in an endfire configuration.

the double 12" play nice down to 35hz and had no trouble playing up to meet the floods. Sounded very sweet. If anything we should of taken more floods to keep up..

the fp range was me playing with ideas, and Tony was happy with the changes, he also added a lot of input to the project. The only q to be front ported was the 18, he had plans to do a 21" front ported but this ended up as rear ported. This was done for another forum member.

External size
50cm deep
37cm wide

plate dimentions.
2x 37cm 50cm
2x 50cm 48cm
2x 34cm 45cm

The port is a aerobic 4" with a total lenght of 34cm

The build is simple, all you need is to assemble 6 plates
and paint it. The port is in the bottom in back in order to get space for it and
the driver is on the top in the front.
The front plate is 4cm inwards to give space for the driver exution and the grill.

The front grill was ordered custom made from http://www.speakergrills.co.uk/.
Once i ordered it i was sceptical and did not expect much if anything,
but the grill they delivered was truly of high quality.
As a nice finish on the grill i added a foam on the inside.
