Hi
wondering if anyone knows how the ultradrive implements phase adjustment. The manual says this: "Any phase errors at the outputs (cancellation of specific frequency ranges) can be corrected here. The POLARITY parameter determines whether the phase of an output signal is INVERTED or not (NORMAL) - just as if you had inverted the polarity of your speakers. Use the PHASE parameter to adjust the precise phase position at the upper X-OVER frequency of the currently selected output. This fine adjustment is necessary when two output signals are not perfectly displayed (displaced?) by 0' or 180' with regard to each other." I guess this means that they are using an all-pass-filter implemented using a LPF to give between 0' and -180' degrees phase shift. The corner frequency is adjusted to give the desired amount of phase shift at the upper FREQ frequency selected in the X-OVER POINTS menu. frequencies above FREQ will have more phase shift (up to -180') and frequencies below FREQ will have phase shift between the -PHASE value and 0'. anyone know if this is how it works? cheers Phil
