if i want to find a 6" subwoofer that i could put in a ported box and tune low, would i look for a lower qts or a lower fs.

i was looking at the pyramid pw677x 6.5" subwoofers the qts is .72 and the fs is 55hz
winisd and help from others shows a box of 1 cu ft with a 2.5 dia port at a lenght of 3.3in tunned to 50hz and this gives me -3db at 40hz  0db at 44hz and a peak at 4db at 66hz

Box size is related to the square of the Qts, so the lower the Qts the smaller the box.

However, the lower the Qts, the less bass you will have.

To simplify things, use a driver with a Qts=0.4, make the box size equal to the Vas or the driver, and then tune the box to the Fs of the driver.

Download WIN ISD.

A driver with a Qts=.72 has a very weak motor, I would find a better driver.
