You could probably use it to cut your panels but I'm not sure if a laser cutter will cut angles. Have you looked at the building guide on the main page here?

Rebated joints are the preferred way of constructing the cab. Butt joints can be solid if they are glued, screwed and braced well whilst the glue is drying.

Ah that looks useful, cheers. And hm tbh idk if a laser cutter will but my Dad is a carpenter/joiner and has a large workshop, so I'll have all the tools and he's offering to help.

Make sure you keep us informed with pics! we all love a good build diary.
You can have a look on freespeakerplans or hornplans.free.fr for even more cab designs. Many, if not all have been built and/or discussed on here so keep searching away.

id go with cookie idea
2 sub18 [make sure you add a 25mm to the depth so you can fit full face grills] on a budget you could load these with p audio e18 600s they do pretty good for a budget 18, or go sh, fane xb, pd186, beyma g550 something along those lines ,just a case of seeing whats available when you've built them ,then you can keep adding more as your bass habit increases
plenty of top plans out there ,you want 12/1 or 15/1.4 maybe ,although the 18sound ones are very nice and there horns are some of the best ive heard, the benefit is these can be used on there own for small pub/house parties which you probably couldn't do if you had 8/10" tops
GOD TOLD ME TO DO IT !!!!!

Been offered two 15" bass bins for £150 which are insanely well built (I've heard them) so gonna take those for now and upgrade to 2 18" subs when I can afford. Still thinking 12+1 for the midtops any recommendations on what plan to use and what drivers? cheers

Well as above, the 18 sound ones are very good. I have a pair of the 8"+1" for small gigs in fact.
Maybe you could try something like a SMT212 from freespeakerplans or an X12 from the plans on here?
They both work well with PD123ER drivers, but will completely outrun those 15" bass cabs you propose to take.
Do you have any details of the bass cabs you have? £150 will at least get you a pair of Sub 18's built in ply and ready to bolt a driver to. Painted and with connectors, handles etc. Your bass addiction will very quickly outgrow a pair of single 15's Star

Turns out he sold the 15" subs. I think we're gonna build 2 18" subs, what design would you recommend? Someone also suggested 4 12" punisher horns, no idea how this would compare to 2 18" tho. What would you recommend? And yeah we're gonna use one of those plans for the mid tops

Simple reflex is the best way to go for beginners. B&C sub 18 (old design, not new one) is the no1 bass reflex starter plan IMHO. And they sound really good, better than a lot of off the shelf single 18" cabinets about. (If built, braced and powered properly)

Don't build punishers or anything horn loaded as your understanding of sound systems is limited. And most drivers other than the recommended (never in stock) Ciare driver won't last 2 mins.

Reflex bass and midtop are the best for small audiences anyway.
