re: active 12's...
Kareoke bloke has a couple of those installed in the pub where i do the majority of my gigs. They are embarrasingly efficient for mp3 and drunk Kareoke singers.

Crap compared to my Martin rig though :D
Why did the lampy cross the road?

Crap is still crap whatever price it is, and Skytec and RCL are total garbage.

They're only crap to people who know / own better. To your average 14 year old bedroom DJ then they rock and are their pride and joy.

PS, I am not 14, a bedroom DJ, or condone Skytec speakers in any way shape or form. None of my system has blue flashy LED's or is rated in PMPO! LOL

I know this is an old thread, but I I have an RCL P1200 Power amp which is faulty and I am trying to find the service manual / schematics for it and this thread is the only promising reference I could find to this amplifier.

I cannot find a website or anything for RCL. Does anyone know if they are still in business? Or how to find contact details for them.

I am not sure how to direct message a user on here, but mykey (hopefully you see this), you say you know the guy behind RCL? Would you be able to email me please or perhaps give me some contact details for him?

Thanks

It's probably just a standard generic chinese amp,any tech. with a bit of sense would be able to fix it,but wether you should fix it is another matter. It has very little (or no) value at all,so even a tech. spending 15 mins on it will give you a bill for more than it's worth.
Be seeing you.

Exactly why I want to try to repair it myself. More for the experience than anything, I have been making a good hobby of repairing amps / tvs during the Covid lockdown. It is just this is the first thing that I cannot find any documentation on.

Just check through everything, starting with the output transistors first, and working back. It will just be a simple bipolar design, shouldn't be too difficult, even without a diagramm.
Be seeing you.
