Hi guys,

So with the help of some of the guys here and after some research we've done we're gonna go with the Hog's now we need some help with deciding what to load it with, we read alot about some of the recommendations of the users (and we dream about loading one of the hogs with void/pd)  but as we live in Israel we dont have a wide selection, as a matter of fact the only brands selling woofers in Israel are: B&C, RCF, 18Sound

We would love your advice on this case guys

Shalom,

One A Way.

Hi thanks for your replies!

How is the B&C TBX100 compared to 18LW1400?

I couldn't comment As I personally haven't heard either in a Hog , all I can say Is I've heard good things about the TBX100 for the sound , even though it may not be the heaviest.

The parameters between the two look quite similar;

                            XMAX(7+)/ BL(24+)/ QES(-.35)/ QTS (-.35)/ VAS(-360)/FS(-35)/ RMS/GBP/USD

18LW1400               9             24.7       .31            .29              297             31    1000W       $360
B&C TBX100            9             25.5       .
37            .35              212             34    1200W        $316

I have never heard either in a hog, however I have read others have been more than satisfied with their tbx100's, and haven't heard of anyone using a 18LW1400 yet.
We learn something every day, and lots of times it’s that what we learned the day before was wrong.

Hi one-a-way, between those three manufacturers are some of the best drivers on the market so don't feel like you are being restricted. In the UK we like to use PD and Fane because they are made here and the prices are competative but there are excellent drivers made by those 3 manufactures which should exceed any of the UK offerings. Which you use depends on your budget but my top three choice would be the new LF18X451 from RCF, the 18sound 18NLW9600, or the B&C 18SW115. All should work well in a scoop and are tough drivers.

It's been a long time since I was in Israel but when I went there was no evidence at all of any interest in reggae or jungle (just hip-hop and european dance music), have things changed much in the 10 years since I was there?

Nick

I have my eye on the RCF LF18X451 at the  moment (as well as another UK driver Wink), but almost sure RCF UK pricing will mean sticking to UK made driver. Confused

From what I've been told, there's quite a burgeoning dubstep and drum and bass scene, so I assume there's also been a boost in interest for other musics of a similar-ish nature?
