Modified output stages by replacing all power trannies including mosfets, recalibrated bias and SOA curves, modified SMPS into resonant mode, supply raised from +/- 137 volts to +/- 165 volts. Preliminary tests of SMPS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vbm_D9UzPVs&t=39s

Hi, for home use, not needed, is too loud for that.
Every SMPS must be made individual, to adjust perfectly freq, for achieve resonance.

Since the igbt is obsolete what can you recommend a working replacement, please help. Mine has been repaired once the igbt was replaced but if anything goes wrong again on the igbt i what should i do, can you recommend an alternative or modification. I am not after power upgrade or to make it louder i just want to keep it working. Thank you

You can use most actual IGBT's because is soft switching at 65kHz, Respect power dissipation and collector amperage, use just 600Volts ones. Always replace IR2110, even SG3525. Check also base IGBT seried diodes (to not be shorted or open circuit) and resistores parralel, too. Replace burnt ceramic resistors with same type (thermal fusible resistors). After done all that I wrote, do not connect any of power amplifiers modules to power supply (black, red and white wires) from SMPS board, and use instead main 10A fuse, one bulb of 220-240Vac and 100 Watts power. When powering up, it will light brighter and will dimm almost full after couple seconds. Id that is what happens, then measure minimum +/- 125Vcc pn SMPS board (wires black-red-black white), if ok, shut it down, leave 30 seconds for capacitors discharge then connect power wires to power modules and turn on again. If bulb lights brighter and dimm it in seconds, looks you have been succeded! Thed adjust bias as described in service manual.

@DjLecson, Is the default switching frequency 65kHz ? Did you change it ? Looks like you have used ETD59 core. Would you be so kind and tell me the core material and the windings. I'm doing some calculations with Excellent-IT software. It's very useful but some things are confusing such as max core power. Cheers.
