last saturday i bought a new 18sound 15w700 for 15 euro and two p-audio sn-10 mb for 10 euro a piece, i am making boxes for them. here are some pics and plots:

Nice little 6th order BP btw. Any idea's on the tops you're going to use?

tops are gonna be vented 25l tuned to 70-75 hz

made a connector plate + braces + acces panel + baffle with t nuts

i am going to router in these handles:
4 of these:

inside:

the speaker:

no panels glued yet.

XLR speaker cables only ever used female plugs on each end, so BOTH XLR's on the cabinet should be male.  However, speakon connectors should be used now....

agree speakon should be used now.. but i'm sure any speakers i've had with xlr connectors had one of each.. and amps i have with xlr out for speakers.. are male.. so speaker leads do follow the male / female convention..

tops look really nice

Here in Aus back in the 70s / 80s, boxes & amps had male XLRs so idiots couldn't use mic leads for speakers.

Is there any particular reason to use XLR for speaker connector instead of Speakon?
