have a pair of cabs i'm fixing up.. 15" bass reflex, with a sealed chamber for a 10" direct radiating mid, and a 1" horn. sealed chamber is fairly small.

what's a nice 10" driver to go in there? how high might a 10" mid driver happily go to meet a 1"?

at the moment there's passive xovers in there at 250 and 1.7khz.. i'll probably take the 250 one out and bi-amp them.

nice one if anyone has suggestions..

Don't know if they're any good as I haven't heard them but Eminence have recently released a sealed back 10" unit. Yeh, I know you've already got a chamber but it's a dedicated mid unit.

have designed some mids a while back for 18sound 10m600 and i think in the end i managed to get chamber size down to about 8L.

IIRC they run them covering 250hz to 1.8khz.

bwoy they're loud... sound good too. serious drivers.

What cabs are you refurbishing?  They sound pretty interesting.

presumed DIY things someone made. orignally came from bristol crew i think. pd152, mystery 1" horn, old beyma cd on one, eminence something on the other... pd107 (old, tired, dustcap may be properly inverted ala ASS, or else it's just punched in...), alpha 10 in the other.

nicely built though. beyma fd-25 600w 250hz xover between 15 and.. beyma f-250 1.7k xover between 10 and 1.

pd 152s are working but seem kinda old and tired.. they look like they'll play higher than they need to in these boxes, so i might try them in some monitor type cabs. i have a pair of jbl 2225h lying around doing nothing i might try in these..

just going to juggle things around a bit. but i'd like decent matching 10" and 1" drivers as a start. preparing them to go with a pair of g-subs. have a crest 7001 for the 15s and a chevin a1000 ready for the 10 / 1. or may stick with the 2 crossovers if i can get a good result from them..

Looks as though they can take care of business with a sub under them.  Thanks for posting the pics.
