Hi SP

If you had a wall of 12 HDs all loaded with PD154s - powered by budget amps

stacked in couples, bracing to bracing., rows of four.

What frequency could/would you push them down too?

Also, I know they are supposed to be mid bass boxes but with the above set up, could they handle a bit of jungle/dnb bass?

Cheers!

Why not just build 8x Hornloaded subs ?

Surely easier to transport, cheaper on drivers, amp power, less reliance on building power ?

I've heard stacks of 6x HD15s used as subs, and also 6x 1850 Horns in a stack, and neither did much below 50hz in my books.

Have heard 2x stacks of 4x 186 horns, loaded with various drivers, IMHO sounded much warmer, deeper.

Downsizing the rig, we had 8 1850s they are gone now. HD15s more portable etc. etc.

Hitting.... Nail.... Head!

HD15's just don't play low... even in massive groups.

My advice is buy high end B&C / 18sound / FaitalPro / RCF drivers and stick them in 160/170L reflex bins!!!

Poll this!
