Ours are loaded with JBL 4" compression drivers, EV DL12X mids and 2226HPL bass drivers.

We think it was orginally fitted in Miss Moneypennys in Birmingham but are unable to confirm. We were told when we bought it that it was an install rig from a big club, the outer tops are on those custom stands which suggest that may be the case. There's also a press release floating around on the web from the early 2000's that says Miss Moneypennys had 4x NX12 and 8x TC15 as there new rig.

I can't seem to find any photos of the rig that was installed in Miss Moneypennys as that would probably confirm or deny our suspicion, those stands are pretty unique. Maybe someone on here may have been there back in the day and can tell us?

The NX12 was originally designed for the 2206 and bass for 2226 so if it had the JBL's in the mid highs it would have been 14.4k but if your using it with the original SC2  active crossover it's a very loud system. (the crossover also has the eq curve that the horns require to work properly)
I wouldn't fancy having to lift the mid highs up on those poles to often though and to be truthful your not gaining much by using them if your mobile with the system I'd be more inclined to stack two of the bass cabs on their sides and put the mid/high on top.

Have a word with Sammy at Dare he should be able to tell you where the system came from.

Never criticise another man until you've walked a mile in his shoes. Once you have, call him what you like, you're a mile away and you've got his shoes!

We bought our rig about 6/7 years ago and we got it with BSS FDS340s with not quite the right cards in it. We ran it like that for a while, but soon got fed up with it, we now use a soundweb, pretty sure we cross it at about 115 and 2.5k, but this changes depending on the venue and type of job we're on. I can confirm that those tops are bleeding loud!

Would you have any idea what the eq curve should be for the highs? Would be interesting to see how it compares to how our eq is set up. Who makes the SC2 crossover, is it JBL? Google is failing me.

That's actually the first time we've used those poles, we t nutted the holes in the cabs yesterday and tried it out for a job we've got coming up in the next few weeks. For the right job it'll look sweet, even if it doesn't do much for the sound.

Just found the press release that makes us think our rig came from Miss Moneypennys, it would explain why we've got EV DL12X as mids and not JBL 2206.

15 November 2000

Miss Moneypenny's at Bonds in Birmingham, reputed to have one of the toughest door policies of any club in the country in terms of client exclusivity, has gone digital with a £60,000 audio system refit. Birmingham-based Dare Professional Audio was responsible for the design and specification of the new system, which was installed by Stagecraft Systems from Cannock. DARE specified a custom-built system loaded exclusively with ElectroVoice components and powered by EV P Series amplifiers supplied by EV's UK distributor, Shuttlesound. The main system comprised four DARE NX12 mid/high packs; eight DARE TC15 sub-bass cabinets delivering an impressive 1200W each, plus one DARE Bass Quake 4 sub-bass enclosure loaded with four EVX180s. Each driver prodcues a massive 1000W - delivering a total of 4kW from one box. Two DARE Micro 12v2 DJ monitors and eight DARE E18s for the bar areas, controlled by a DARE NX Digital Speaker System Controller, completed the system.
