Yes Danley TH115 and TH118 are essentially the same box. But the driver in the TH118 is something on at least 2 levels above the one in the TH115. Using the scale up and down approach used by some people, they should have made the TH118 bigger. But they didnt. So it is not as easy as it looks.

I built a pair of cbe-18. With discussion and input from Stipe, I loaded them with Kappalite 3015LF and they work well. The only change was in the baffle which was cut to suit the 15 as opposed to the 18. All I can say is try it. You can always rework the baffle to suit an 18 if the result is not satisfactory for your particular application.

"The Danley 15" and 18" are the same cab "
No, they are not.
The external dimensions are the same, but the internals are longer in the TH118. This info may be gleaned from the impedance plots.
I would wager that if you model the Cyclops with the higher Qts 15's that it will look good without having to cut the height down much if any. Edited by _djk_ - 12 September 2014 at 1:09am |

The data he publishes contradicts this statement.

You may be able to build it pretty much as-is for a high Qts driver like the Eminince 3015LF or 4015.
The lower the Qts of the driver, the smaller a throat it likes to see.
I suggest you model it with the driver you will be using, just to be sure.
