Hi.
What is the difference between the 1850, 1851/2, 1852 and 1850/2 recone kits and how do i tell which i need? I'm guessing they will all fit the same basket but there is a big price difference between them. The drivers are fitted in ASS BS600s if that helps with the decision on which cones to use. Cheers. |

It's not how big it is, it's what you do with it!

Sorry to hijack the thread slightly, but my question is really a rephrasing of the same question.
I was wondering about fitting an 1850/2 recone kit to an original 1850 basket. Will this work and will the refurbished driver then be as good as an 1850/2 or was there a difference in the basket/magnet. Regards, James

OK, to update the thread, hopefully help the OP and to prevent my question causing further confusion, I now have the answer from another thread.
The /2 variant apparently has a deeper basket so this would not work. This information was gleaned from the thread here: https://forum.speakerplans.com/pd1850-transducer_topic84467. - https://forum.speakerplans.com/pd1850-transducer_topic84467.html James
