I have one question... (or more :D) if i want to add this "brace" or how do you call it to the 1850 horn, does it have to be in correct angle? what i mean is, if angle of this thing influence to the sound?

You can simplify the bracing without it having any effect on the sound. If you have a look through the "show off your soundsystem" thread you will see many examples of different ways of bracing the mouth of an 1850 horn.

so this brace shown in the picture does't have any effect on the sound, it's only for "good look"..?

well it's a brace. it's to stop the panels vibrating. if it wasn't there, the cab would sound worse. so it does have affect on the sound, by strengthening the box.

Obviously some sort of bracing is required, but it doesn't have to perfectly match the bracing shown in the plans is the point is was trying to make.

If your building 1850 horns from the plan on this site, why not use the bracing as shown on the plan?

It works, has been designed for you and it will mean they match other 1850 horns should you link up with others (or sell them on to someone with some already)

More impotantly, the original bracing design only braces the bottom panel to the horn mouth. The sides (which are quite big and unsupported) aren't braced to anything. The cross brace is much more effective.
