cheers, just that i have a couple of xb's and was looking at making dome x 1's. why wouldnt they be suitable

They are really not ideal


i do however  have 18XBs in some of my X1s. they sound nice and warm. as long as you dont give them mountains of power they dont break. 

i think it was rog who said there is no point putting more than 800W into a X1, it becomes wasted power.

i stick about 600 per driver into mine,

i dunno.. i have void v18-1000s in my X1s.. have moved from 1000w each (xp3000) to theoretically 1300 each (pkn xd4000)....... run them up as far as looks right.. and.. they do take it all. sound good! they do like the power.. i was more cautious with the power for a long time but they just keep going..

i haven't used anything but the void driver in these, for the price, it's definitely the main contendor i think though.

18XB doesn't have the right parameters for a bandpass, need something with a stronger motor.
