Hi! I'm planning a parking lot party rig build, volume needs are not at rave level of course, we want to hang out mostly near the trunk, but when possible, crank the volume up to mini-rave levels would be a nice feature. 1 For the 2x 1" I have two B&C DE250, I know they can be overkill but I'll happily pad them down if needed. 2 I was thinking on a single 15" up to 180hz, I say single cause I won't be having too much space in the trunk for such big woofers, here are the two candidates - Fane Sovereign 15-400LF https://www.fane-international.com/downloads/FANE-SOVEREIGN-15400LF-DS141117.pdf - Fane Sovereign PRO 15-600LF (this one looks like the winner for a good subbass) https://www.fane-international.com/downloads/FANE-SOVEREIGN-PRO-15600LF-DS141117.pdf 3 For the mids I was thinking about xoving them from 180hz to somewhere between 1800 and 2500hz, and this got me thinking: 2 eights or 2 tens? I think I could remove floor of the trunk if needed to make space for the extra cabinet size for the tens. This is the 10" I had in mind, I can get it cheap Fane Sovereign 10-300/2 https://www.fane-international.com/downloads/SOVEREIGN10300-2DS220922.pdf These are the 8s" Fane Sovereign 8-225 https://www.fane-international.com/downloads/FANE-SOVEREIGN-8225-DS141117.pdf Fane Sovereign PRO 8-225 https://www.fane-international.com/downloads/FANE-SOVEREIGN-PRO-8225-DS141117.pdf I also appreciate less weight and lower volume cabs always proved than I can maintain a good bass. The PRO 8-225 looks good on paper, will it sound good till 180hz? Maybe I should go with the 10"s? Any thoughts from you guys is appreciated |

How are you planning on using 2x DE250 with 2 LF drivers?

Yeah i cannot fit 2 LF 15" so I'm going with one sub, I read somewhere in this forum that some experienced people say 15/8/1 doesnt work but I think they talk about having 2x of each and not just one sub like in my case.

I have read it wrong, thought you wanted to use two DE250 per top cabinet. With LF driver I mean the 8" or 10". DE250 paired with a 8 or 10" driver should work perfectly. I personally use the RCF MB8N251 +DE360 in my smal top cabinets which will be paired with a single 15" or 18" sub. So also in your case, should work fine. However, I do not have any experience with the listed drivers. What are you going to use to drive it al (amps, crossovers/dsp etc)?

Plan is to have the single 15" up to like 180hz or so, then 2x8" Fane Sovereign Pro 8-225 (bought them today) and 2x1" For the 1"s, I have measured my trunk opening and the most probable thing is that I have to resell the 2x new DE250 and horns xD, because the horns are 320x190mm and that is too much for the opening of the trunk. I will most probably buy 2x DE10 with tiny 140x140mm horns, or maybe I will try these ones https://www.beyma.com/en/products/c/compression-driver/1SMC8060N8/motor-smc-8060-n-8-oh/ They look good on paper and have a very low crossover for the price, like at 1.5khz, the DE10 is minimum 2,5khz This is the DSP I'm gonna be using https://www.stetsom.com.br/en/produto/stx2848/ This is the amp https://www.audiodesign.de/renegade/english/RXA1500.html At 8ohm it should be more or less half the RMS, I'm ok with such a "tiny" amp at first

Well I have the Celestion H19040P as I read in the forum it is one of the best for the DE250, and it just cost 20€ and not 80€, not willing to spend that much on horns being such a beginner I'm considering this one too https://www.beyma.com/speakers/Fichas_Tecnicas/beyma-speakers-data-sheet-horn-TD8060.pdf It says it's fine till 1,5khz, so it could be good, just that I read that people using horns like B&C ME10 was a very bad choice Will probably open a post asking for possible "tiny" horns for DE250

Well, you said the H19040P is to big, so why sell the whole combo? The 250 is still an excellent comb with a good horn. Maybe look at the P-audio PH220/RCF H100. Both very nice 1" horns.
