I think the cabs sound great (but I may be a little bit bias)

They excel for near field work, they don't go low but the low end is tight and precise, very hifi sounding.

I've done these for the studio but would also work (with a little external rejigging) for live.

I'll hold off on posting any plots until i've sorted a passive crossover for them.

Hmmm, that will require some substantial HF boost.

did you use a berry ecm by any chance... if yes any plot over 5k I would take with a pinch of salt, and trust your ears...

I did indeed Bee.

I completely agree with you, the measurement software gives a good visual interpretation of the performance of a cab but your ears should always be trusted over the software.

Nice work dlyxover

Bostin finish,  bet that took some elbow-grease? or just a gloss paint?

I can confirm the variants in measurement mics... we did a comparison the other month between a berry / Audix / Beyer MM1 / Josephson C550H / Earthworks and a KT also.

Everyone gave pretty much the same results upto around 5K, then there were variations in amplitude and phase response upto as much as 12db between all mics.  I don't have the plots to hand, but will try and dig them out on the works machine and post them.
Plus mics like the Beyer MM1 give a treble boost on-axis above 10k, so i tend to trust my experience rather than 'obey the screen'

Any plans for a mono sub companion for these?  Another mini-rig contender?

Keep up the good work!

Thanks Finjby.

The finish is sprayed it has more of a satin finish rather than gloss but dose have a nice luster, it has about 12 coats.

I do like the way it almost looks like a coating as if it was dipped.
Might try some fine sanding and buffing with some fine cutting compound to bring it to a high gloss finish.

A cheeky little 10" sub would pair nicely with it, we'll see what happens
