Hi everyone, I've been thinking about building my own sound system. I want to experiment with making hog scoop or super scoop enclosures with 6.5" speakers. I want to use two in my setup. The parameters are: VAS 12.L, QTS 0.4, BL 5.4, fs: between 50Hz and 60Hz. Has anyone tried this? Or could someone give me some advice? I was thinking of just scaling up the original hog scoop layout to 1-3, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea.

it's a good idea aesthetically and Im sure theyll look cool but acoustically it's not a very good idea. the low end frequency response of a horn/scoop is dictated by the horn's length and mouth area. if you make these smaller then the useable low end cutoff will shift upwards in proportion to the new measurements. As will the front/rear cancellation frequency notch that's usually centered around 8-100hz in a full sized scoop, which may leave your new design with a noticeable hole in the lower midrange you'd probably be better off putting them in an appropriately tuned reflex box that is dressed to look like a scoop. or just make one for the fun of it and see how it turns out
