Spring loaded sounds interesting, there needs to be some give somewhere as getting the heatsink flat against the backplate / in good contact is important for heat transfer, coppey springs sounds like a clever solution.

We currently intend to have an ali plate with a cpu heatsink and fan mounted on it, fan will be powerd from the audio signel, the ali plate with have 2 ali bars that potrude into the chamber and come into contact with the back plate.  The whole unit will have a thick gasket to make adjustment for good themal contact easy.

lol orright liam

yeah i have been pretty busy (as you know) so i havent been able to upload any pics of the rig. Vpas bought 4 112's off me a few months ago (and is just about to get 2 more :-))

if any one would like to buy some 112's or 212's please email me @ iain@vortexsound.co.uk or ring 07872075118

the gig in that picture went down a brilliantly, with that many cabinets a side it really was breath taking and i do recall smashing a few bottles of spirits...(managed to rattle off the bar)

next year i will be running the same event a few times a month please get in touch if you would like to come down and hear them.

cheers
