About the tops: I would not play around with Y-adapters or extra tweeters unless I was really after that effect. For most uses having good quality modern 2" drivers in there would give easily bright enough sound. Look for example Beyma CP-750/Nd or CP-750/Ti or SMC-60.

Ok, they´re a bit of an institution over there. Old Paco has been through dozens of musicians during his (long) career!  LOL Smile LOL

I´ve just 'lent' 2 (original) Gauss 15's to someone to try out - and have 1 with a specialist reconer to see if he can repair it. If that works, I have a couple more chassis I could recone.
