Hi,
I found these amazing sounding speakers for almost free. Did I say that they sound amazing! What a score! They are Altec 834A! I do have two questions to ask. 1) What does the dial in the rear labelled h.f. att. do? 2) I want to refurbish the cabinet. It is 63 years old after all. What is the best way to do this? "h.f. att" stands for high frequency attenuation, the control allows you to adjust the amount of output from the high frequency driver. Have a look at the thread linked below..
