maybe you don´t get what am saying here it is http://www.thomann.de/gb/precision_devices_pd1850.htm if you buy the Void from pap / or Void in UK you´l pay 209£ so what am saying is buy the void , the bin is almost the same as the http://www.proaudioparts.co.uk/looneybin.asp so even if he pays 30£ for shipping the Void is cheaper @ pap/Void call it what you like . I didn´t say better or anything else , said cheaper ![]() |

yes but the builder was talking about PD188 not PD1850, and that's why i misunderstand your post because i didn't see that you was answering to chrisse. Edited by dj-panoramix - 04 March 2010 at 11:06pm |

Dj-Panoramix wrote: for me the real winners here in order are Void V1000, RCF G/N402 and then PD1850 then come in order: 18W1000, RCF G/N401, PD188, PZB100 Hi Dj-paroramix. Where you say RCF G/N402 (or 401) Does this mean you can use ether The G401 or the N401? RCF only seem to list the G401 now which would be the better choice for me, i think as i will be driving four with a VZ500 which will give me more head room with the 900w G401 than with the 1200w N401. I am thinking of using 4ohm drivers to get the most from the amp, although with the 900w G401 i could still run the amp at 4ohms a side and still have good head room. The reason i am stuck on RCF is because i can get them at cost price, Knocking a good 400 quid off the final build cost. Any thoughts?

Unfortunately, in reality, often, many sims don't add up to dry dog sh.t when it comes to actually testing drivers in cabs. T/S parms give you "an idea" of which drivers "may" be more suitable to certain cab types, then you choose driver according to budget. Always best "if" possible, to try one driver in your cab first, before buying. Which is why many manufacturers send "test" units to certain individuals/corporates. |

Actual T/S parameters as well typically vary by a huge degree from the published figures.
Never understood why so many folks put their faith* in simm's and build multiple boxes based on them without doing a test box first. Tony *Even get their boxers moist!!! |

Yep, probably only reflex cabs where Sim software is typically pretty accurate. If using quality software, and driver manufacturers who don't "fudge" parms that much. WinISD is typically good parameter fudge detector. ![]() |
