Running four PAudio SN-12MB 600W drivers in horn cabs, two per side.
So after an amp that is not less than 2.4k per channel at 4ohm. Any ideas on what would be suitable and best performance? Considering a Matirx XT7000MF Many thanks |

You'd probably be OK with something that does 1200 into 4, on mid.

I can recommend Matrix XT- Range I use them all, my preferred amps for mid-top applications

Depends on the rest of the rack. If you've got a decent DSP, then a decent analogue amplifier will do you fine. If you have limited (DCX2496) or no DSP, then something like a Linea Research or Powersoft with good DSP built-in would be my recommendation. Chris

Ok - I have the old version, which are great and very sensitive, so don´t need a big amp. I usually drive them with a Crest 7001, or similar. The new ones - from what I´ve been told, are quite power-hungry, ie inefficient so will most probably need a decent size amp to move.

That's interesting, thanks.
I've been running them a borrowed LabGruppen which worked great but now ive returned it i need my own. Ive used Matrix before and like them so its an option. Don't know anything about the Saturun amps. Looks like same company as the Orbits which i do like. |

you dont need tons of power to run mids properly imo. 1200w per ch at 4ohm should be more than enough - a mf7000k is quite overkill..?! Matrix Amps do sound good on MHF imo, quite happy with ours since 2012 :) (Happen to have a custom one for sale that was made for Tony ASS, its half a xt6004, has only ever been used to drive Monitors in an install here, doubt it had much stressing use with Tony.) Depending on your Budget theres literally dozens of options though.. |

A few people have told me recently i don't need that much power for mids. But, the rating is 600w per driver, so why wouldn't i want at least 1.2k peak per driver if i can?
Cheers all |
