No throw Its just the acoustics. And isn't it good to have bass only where it's needed anyway? |

Been there. If there is heavy cancellation, no matter how much amp power / cone movement. No bass. Same thing in my living room. I've been using as example dual 18 inch horns in one corner + 4kWatts of amp power and I can stand at 6 feet from subwoofers and barely hear any bass. Everything is shaking, rattling and dropping to the floor. When playing outside, bass can be easily felt at 100 feet and at 10 feet it hurts. |

since all the pro gear is mothballed for a while, this is what i am using at home currently:
Heavily biased into class A, both units run warm, but i have to say sound excellent. Even the pre-amp needs all that ventilation that the case allows. The power amp is around 110W/ch at 8Ω, 4 pairs of To3P outputs per side. I've currently got my eyes on the reservoir caps as a couple are starting to show a gentle bulge ( amplifier dates from around 1994 and it totally original) so will be replaced in the coming couple of weeks. Classic top notch American build quality throughout.
