Potted with something very hard, they must've learned it from powersoft. All in the airflow so got to be for protection from dust and moisture.

Either way the thing's scrap!

Speaking of which, is any European country making these special heat sinks for amplifiers ?
Or does someone here have these lying around and wants to get rid of them ? Of course,
bare heat sinks without the PCB and stuff.  Smile

Edit: Preferable 3U height

I have plenty of heatsinks lying around, a couple - or more - similar to what you have posted. How many do you need?   Smile

Nice and simple inside.not much to go wrong. What's the line of splodge running down the centre of the heatsink,or is it two separate heatsinks meeting at that point?
Be seeing you.

Quote not much to go wrong

This will be the 5th one (out of 5) that have been BER.
The last 4 had caught fire and this one has all the mosfets blown and the bus capacitors open circuit.

The two heatsinks have a bead of silicone down the middle to seal them for the fan
