Just picked up a pair of Inter-M PA6348 mono blocks. Very substantial beasts with massive heatsink and an interesting layout. There is an option for 24vdc input for running on batteries and the outputs are transformer coupled. They weight a ton though, 23 kg a piece for "only" 480W output.  friend lending me this Aimeek ca80. Apparently 6k. It has 28 output devices per channel and weighs in at 42kilo. I'm using it while my macro tech 5002 goes in for repair. Be interesting to see how it compares. I'll be hanging 2 drivers a side, so 4r. Spec says 2.4k @4r per channel. Will be reggae bass 😉Edited by valve head777 - 10 August 2022 at 11:17pm |

Didn't disappoint, bit of a beast. Not completely used in anger, but happy with performance at 4r on a channel. Absolutely no discernible heat.

Just got these beauties in for repair/servicing:-   Funnily enough, one channel on each dead...    Hopefully nothing too serious, but one had something that would be for the "Spot the deliberate mistake" thread:-  We all know the pressure when the Show Must Get Going and something isn't working - but really, to risk destroying the amp - or starting a fire...  |
