It's about as heavy as an SR707 I would say. And smells like one, you know, like an old pub carpet.

The transformers look the same make / style as they are in the SR606 & SR707 (St. Ives Windings) and the layout has that certain C-Audio style / feel to it.
The fans at the back and XLR's look like a SR707 layout as well. The front panel looks like an Austin Armstrong amplifier as well. I am sure someone at C-Audio had a hand in both these names of amplifiers.

Realistic / Radio shack / Altai / Soundlab MPA100.
Can't recall if this one has been posted before, but anyway, here we are, late 80's, first of the taiwan/chinesey PA amps. Been sitting in a friends garage the past 25 years. Works fine, even the meters still light up. Don't think this will do 4kw bridged into 2 ohms though. |
