We have been using two of Gisen K21x4 for our subs and midbass for a year.  At least last year when purchased they where within your budget.  They supply their rated power (4x4200W into 4 ohm).  In use they run cool and we haven't had any issues with them.

This is the most sensible thing you have said.

EDIT: Due to your budget constraints, I would suggest the following amplifiers, having owned them all, or managed systems using them.

1. Powersoft K20 - For driving 2x  "4 ohm" drivers, per channel
2. Void Infinite 8 MK2 - For driving 2x 4 ohm drivers per channel
3. QSC PL380 -1x 4 ohm driver per channel
4. Crest CA18 -1x 4 ohm driver per channel
5. QSC 5050  - 1x 4 ohm driver per channel
6. Crown Macrotech MA5000VZ - 1x 4 ohm driver per channel

I would personally forget the idea of buying "any" cheap Chinese/Behringer lightweight amp.

I have personally sold 4x 4 ohm 18sound 18NLW9601 drivers, and a Void Infinite 8MK2 to a friend, and when cabs were loaded, and system setup, on dedicated 32A spur, my eyebrows almost raised off my head, at what I was hearing. That setup is in use in a club, approx 3x times a week, every week, right now.

Only other amplifier I would recommend for driving multiple drivers, is Powersoft X Series, and that is out of your budget.

Doesn't matter how old an amp is, question is, does it deliver rated "enough" power at sub notes, and IMHO, if you are talking lightweight, then it must be Powersoft, or for few dollars more, possibly Linea Research.

There are plenty of known brand, expensive lightweights, that just do not provide anywhere near rated output at sub notes, to avoid strife, will not mention them here.

Applause. Good sensible answer Lev except, as long as I'm not missing something, the Powersoft K20 is way over budget.

Keep up the good work.

Cheers mate.

It would be cheaper for OP, to save and buy K20, than to buy 2x Cheap Chinese crap amps, blow them, can't get them fixed, then buy K20. Embarrassed

As said before, get something like the K3 DSP. Definitely falls within budget and can power those two of those 4 Ohm drivers fine. If you need the difference between a K3 and K20 regarding power, you need more cabinets.
