been looking for 8ohm drivers for agers so i can run 2 a side on a matrix xp3000 but its finding impossible just wondering if i did the same with 4ohm drivers would it take the drivers down to 2ohms and be more risky on blowing the drivers or get any other problems?
cheers Ali Digga soundz |

Bump this thread, I'm sure someone will be able to get hold of them:
http://forum.speakerplans.com/topic34059_post341339.html But yes, by using 2 x 4ohm drivers in parallel you would take it down to just over 2ohms (impedance is slightly higher in the cab as the horn adds impedance). By running 2ohms rather than 4ohms the amp would put out more power, you'd lose damping factor etc. I'd imagine 8ohm drivers would be preferable. |
