   ---- THE AMSTERDAM SOUNDSYSTEM WEEKENDER 7 & 8 APRIL ----

The Mega Sell-Out session with Jah Shaka @ the MC Theater last October set the tone. Now Lockdown & Shiloh Events take things forward to a higher level presenting the next crucial chapter in the history of Roots & Dub. The "AMSTERDAM SOUND SYSTEM WEEKENDER", is a unique 2 day event during the Easter holidays featuring not one, but three, of the very best champions league sounds.

On Saturday the 7th of April to open the weekend in style we bring to u the Year 3000 sound, the mighty IRATION STEPPAS from Leeds, UK, featuring Mark Iration and his top MC's. The Vanguard of Dub and original University of Dub statwarts are hosts of the top session in the UK, SubDub in Leeds and now also in London @ Cable. So put on your skanking shoes and feel dis ya one, because the Steppas are going to rock the place, believe!

Then on Sunday the 8th of April we present for the first time in the Netherlands the Roots & Culture entertainers, CHANNEL ONE featuring Mikey Dread on the wheels of steel and Ras Kaleb on the mike. Twenty Five years on the road, continually uplifting and inspiring their vast following all over the world with the hottest Dub Plate selections. Channel One never fail to please and on this their first session in Amsterdam expect something real special!

Taking their rightful place alongside Iration Steppas and Channel One on both nights will be Hollands very own ground breaking Healing of the Nations sound KING SHILOH featuring Bredda Neil, Red Lion and Chanter. For years Shiloh have earnt their reputation as Europe's number one, travelling far and wide from their Amsterdam base with their state of the art sound system. Last years tour took them to a total of 13 countries on an incredible three month journey!

Irie-Up from Warsaw will once again be providing a great exhibition to compliment the musical proceedings, with film and art shows. Ital food will be availble and of course Roots&Culture merchandising, t-shirts, records, cd's etc. 

So make it a date, its going to be a massive happening and a unique chance to see three of the very best sound systems in action in one weekend! In the centre of Amsterdam @ the fantastic MC Theater venue, part of the old gas works. Both night we'll be skanking till 07:00 AM !!!!
