This design has a large front cavity to eliminate the dip above Fc for a small horn mouth.

By sectioning the cabinet at the line, and adding a hinge where shown, the cabinets will nest for hauling eight in a standard cargo van (4'x4'x8').

Fold out the wedge, and this is how they would set-up.

that setup negates the need for a large rear chamber to compensate for the small mouth, the mouth looks decidedly large!

My kind of horn - so thats a 40Hz horn length?
Only problem is the requirement for a plate over the mouth area

Just stack enough that it no longer really matters :)

A 2x2 stack is about 8' tall, you won't get much more output with a top plate.

Your gonna have to put a guard rail up to stop bass heads standing in them
![]() I'd like to hear these when they're done

The basic design and drawings are by Bill Woods, a commercial horn designer with 30+ years experience.
My contribution is the nesting scheme.

Kind of a 15" version of the Lab 12 driver. Fs in the low 20s, Vas over 10 cu ft, Qts 0.30~0.40, high x-max. The original driver was only about 92dB as a direct radiator, and came up to 100dB in the horn. One pair stacked would be about 105dB/2.83V/1M below 50hz. Four stacked as in the drawing ought to be close to 110dB/2.83V/1M.
The reason for posting it here was mainly conceptual. In practice I would adjust the back chamber and throat cavity for the driver under consideration, and probably simplify the corner reflectors.
